Dr. Max sought our expertise to enhance their sustainability reputation and align with upcoming EU regulations. Our vision went beyond developing a comprehensive sustainability strategy and producing ESG reports. It required consolidating vast amounts of data, unifying efforts across multiple regions, and addressing the significant ESG challenges unique to the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector.
We facilitated internal stakeholder engagement and conducted a Double Materiality Assessment to identify key ESG priorities for Dr. Max. This process ensured compliance with CSRD/ESRS, provided a clear focus on high-impact areas, and received validation during an initial audit.
Our thorough assessments provided Dr. Max with a clear understanding of their current standing, highlighting areas for improvement. The insights gained from this research serve as a strategic guide for implementing targeted improvements and tracking progress over time.
Flagship supported Dr. Max by developing multiple preliminary ESG reports to begin the process of preparation for the first mandatory ESRS report in 2026. We started with a GRI-referenced report to establish a solid reporting foundation and then advanced to creating a pilot ESRS-compliant report in 2024, addressing regulatory requirements and identifying key reporting gaps. Additionally, these reports served as an input for discussions with client’s investors.
We guided Dr. Max in collecting a wide range of ESG data points across their entire Group, ensuring consistency and accuracy. To support this effort, we conducted workshops with key representative teams in each country, explaining the process and aligning everyone on the importance of effective data collection.
Flagship worked closely with Dr. Max to measure and establish a baseline of their carbon footprint, creating a solid foundation for developing decarbonization plans, which we are continuing to work on.
To ensure sustained impact, we conducted customized training sessions and strategic consultations, empowering Dr. Max’s team with the knowledge and confidence to drive ESG initiatives forward.
