Our vision of CSR

CSR has become a buzzword and its meaning is often misunderstood. Flagship would like to address these misconceptions.

First, CSR is not only about philanthropy or doing charity. Such activities help establish good relations with community members and leaders, but they are only superficial manifestations of CSR and can have a negative impact.

Second, CSR is not an empty promise or an effective ‘green washing’ tool (making misleading or false claims about business practices and policies in order to appear eco-friendly). Sadly there are quite a few companies and agencies using CSR in this way.

We are business people and know it is essential that businesses be profitable, with that profitability being their first responsibility. But profits should not override all other considerations. Next to looking at “what” services, products and profits a company makes, it should also look at “how” these services, products and profits are done.

We will show you how to become even more profitable, whilst doing good to the environment within and around you. A company of any size and sector can behave in a socially responsible way, so why not you?
