Most sustainable businessman in the world?

Who would have thought that Santa Claus is leading such a successful sustainable business? Although we would just like to enjoy the joy and peace at Christmas time, we should also let Santa inspire us with his business practices that are considered to be highly innovative and socially responsible in our world. So how does he do that?

Diversity

Santa knew right from the beginning that by employing elves and reindeers side by side, his team would reach the value added thanks to their diverse knowledge and skills.

Employing the disadvantaged

Others laughed at Rudolf, but Santa knew very well that his shining red nose is not a deformity but a competitive advantage. Now, Rudolf leads the sledge and his nose creates natural light on all of their yearly journeys.

Clean energy logistics

One sleigh. Eight reindeers. One night. The homes of all children and grown-ups in the whole (Anglo-American) world. And nothing but clean and renewable energy. Learn from it!

Big data

Long before Facebook and Google, Santa had known exactly who wished for what. Even more interestingly (especially for the EU Commission), he knew if you were good or bad.

Cooperation

It seems that his elves have licensing agreements with all major toy and electronics producers across the world. With his fair attitude and long-term relationships, Santa’s position on the world market remains as stable as ever.

Customer support

Santa never spends money on marketing. Not only are his customers extraordinarily loyal to his brand, parents even volunteer to be his main marketing partners.

He never overpromises

Santa never promises everything children ask for. He states clearly that what they get, depends on whether they are behaving well or not. Children themselves are responsible for the outcome.

Zero employee fluctuation

Have you ever heard of any elf or a reindeer switching to another holiday? No, that has never happened and never will. This way Santa saves big money on recruitment, new employees and their training.

Crowdfunding

Santa keeps his business within the family, so not a lot is known about his financing. However, some unofficial sources state that he uses crowdfunding to cover most of his costs.

Not to mention that one day in a year practically everyone talks only about him. Santa’s business is a responsible brand that has been with us for centuries. So let’s learn from him.

Merry Christmas! :-)
